K- stars that I love.... for Lotte DFS

When you talk about K-stars modeling for Lotte Free Duty Shops...you just can't avoid talking about Bae Yong Joon !!.....Why ?? Well....maybe some of you newcomers to the K-entertainment scene are not aware of  the fact that BYJ was the first Hallyu star to model for Lotte DFS !! ...Yup, he started modeling for Lotte in 1995...and have done a great number of ads, layouts and cfs for them since then.

In The Moodie Report I read an article about Lotte,  it's written that Lotte has benefited from a hugely successful marketing campaign that has allowed it to differentiate itself from its competitors – ‘Korean wave’. The term refers to the huge popularity of Korean popular culture which is particularly pronounced in Japan and other parts of Asia...... in particular, the TV drama ‘Winter Sonata’ starring Bae Yong Joon [at the time a model for Lotte Duty Free] attracted a huge number of Japanese fans for Korean pop culture. According to Lotte, This was when the ‘Korean wave’ started in earnest .  Since then, the company has tapped into the phenomenon as a fulcrum of its new marketing strategy. 

Well, the next generations of Hallyu stars after BYJ are lucky that he's paved the way for them. In 2009, Lotte Duty Free chose eight famous stars as models : Korean actors [Song Seung Heon, Park Yong Ha, Ji Seong, Kang Ji Hwan], Korean singers [Rain, Big Bang], a Korean actress [Shin Min-ah], and a Japanese make-up artist [Ikko] .

Choi Ji Wo and JYJ have also been chosen ...and now they have added more shinning stars ^^ Being a model for Lotte means the star is a top Hallyu star,  having great pulling power...so I'm very happy  for KHJ, JGS, Hyun Bin and 2PM to have joined the much coveted ranks as Lotte models.

Let us talk about the younger generation now. Maybe you've seen these pictures of KHJ and JGS for Lotte DFS in other sites...yea...me late...I wanted to talk about BYJ too...in recognition of his big contribution of leading the Hallyu Wave...the wave's so great that yours truly has really been swept off her feet by it ^^

Ok, me a little bit reconciled by the hairstyle...not as bad as before...

me got to think about "Frodo" same as Pinkymomo ^^

Don't need introduction do they ??!!....me was smitten by Hyun Bin in "Worlds Within", and was very smitten by Song Seung Heon in "East of Eden"...to the extent of writing THIS post about it. I liked rain in "Speed Racer" and "A Love To kill" ...as for CSW,I liked her in Winter Sonata with BYJ ^^

I read in news reports that the new line of models will be seen singing the retailer’s theme song, ‘So I’m Loving You’...and they will also be participating in a variety of different events such as fan meetings, star relays, and talk shows....oh...great...I want to see KHJ and JGS together...interacting with each other...it would be sooo interesting, I'm sure !  Also wondering how they will sing ‘So I’m Loving You’...and how the MV/CF will be like...for now let's enjoy the previous ones ....first one featuring the stars  modeling for Lotte DFS in 2009 as mentioned above [including the late Park Yong Ha]. And the second one with the addition of the  members of JYJ ^^.....Enjoy....see you later....
