SS501, Melchan's Fever [err... FEVAAH~ ]

On Posting - with hysterical Melchan

I knew one day it had to happen...melchan sharing a post with me. She's facing her finals and can't post herself....but hitching a ride on this one. Wish me luck...I hope to be coherent despite an excited, hysterical, bouncing up and down teenager beside me. Ok , I think you know who our subject of excitement is today...yep it's SS501 [ Double-S 501]. They are under management of Daesung Entertainment, also known as DSP Entertainment. SS501 stands for Super Star unison of its 5 members until eternity [symbolized by the 0] as 1.

 

Of course it began with watching Joongbo in WGM, to watching Kim Hyun Joong in BOF...and since KHJ is the leader of this boyband, we now have advanced to watching and enjoying SS501 hit songs. Well...we've been watching their MVs in U-tube, listening to their beautiful voices...and Melchan just can't keep quiet...she's always Ohhhing and Ahhhing every time Kim Hyun Joong appears, hands to her heart ['course she's not alone there..ahem !].

She's also jumping up and down the entire time,

exclaiming on how Kim Kyu Jong's sooo handsome...

...and Kim Hyung Joon's sooo cute cute cute !.

AND...THEN,...she saw Heo Young Saeng...and...err...THAT'S IT !!! She went ballistic. I'm glad there's a roof over our head, or else melchan would be floating up there among the stars. 'Crush' is a word not eloquent enough to illustrate melchan's feeling about him....[ Oh mom, look at Young Saeng...OHHH !! I could die when he smiles OHHHH!!! ...etc...etc of the same].

SS501 debuted in 2005 with their first single "경고" ("Warning"). A second single "Snow Prince" was released in late 2005. In mid-2006, they held their first concert, "Step Up Concert" in Osaka, Japan. In late 2006, they returned to Korea in order to promote their first full album, which was released in November. Singles from the album included "Unlock" and "Four Chance".

In 2007, they debuted in the Japanese market. A Japanese fanclub was established with the name of "Triple S Japan". In Korea, their fan club members number around 41,700[ I'm sure it's way over that now]. The group had a Japanese single "Kokoro", which had multiple versions, including one with all members and five others featuring the members individually. The single debuted at #5 on the Orion chart.

In 2008 SS501 returned to Korea with their single Deja Vu . After success with their single "Deja Vu", they began to promote their second single, "A Song Calling For You".

Ok, I was planning to write a little about each of the members...but I think I'll have to excuse myself....melchan's crying in a corner....she saw a pix of Kim Hyun Joong in the internet, kissing an unknown girl.....guess I'll have to go and console her....sigh....
